What is a Pandemic?
A pandemic is an outbreak of an infectious disease which occurs on a global scale, affecting large numbers of people across multiple continents.
Pandemics can be caused by viruses (e.g. COVID-19, H1N1 Influenza, HIV/AIDS, Spanish Flu), bacteria (e.g. Black Death/Bubonic Plague, Cholera Pandemic), and other pathogens.
Pandemic pathogens are often associated with high rates of transmission, relatively high morbidity and mortality rates, and are significant strains on fragile healthcare systems with limited resources.

What is Bird Flu?
As of April 2024, the U.S. has confirmed several cases for the highly pathogenic avian Influenza A(H5N1) virus, otherwise known as ‘H5N1 Bird Flu.’ The H5N1 variant has been responsible for most human illness from bird flu viruses worldwide to date, including the most severe clinical infections with highest mortality.
Infected birds shed bird flu virus through their saliva, mucous and feces, which can result in animal-toanimal transmission. Recent cases of U.S. bird flu have been reported to be the result of dairy farmers in close proximity to infected cows. While human-tohuman transmission of bird flu viruses have historically been rare, public health agencies are monitoring for mutagenic variants that could pose greater risk of transmission among humans.

How to Use Kit.

• Note: Each order is specified for 1 Adult patient. You will then complete 1 intake form to be completed by that patient.
  If you are ordering for additional family members, please submit multiple orders, one for each family member.

• Azithromycin 250mg
• Take Azithromycin 250 mg (2 tablets) by mouth DAILY on day 1, then 250 mg (1 tablet) by mouth DAILY on days 2-5.

• BUDESONIDE 0.5 mg/2 mL vial
• Inhale Budesonide 1 vial (0.5 mg/2 mL) via nebulizer up to TWICE a day, as needed.

• Hydroxychloroquine 200 mg tablet
• Take Hydroxychloroquine 200 mg (1 tablet) by mouth TWICE A DAY for 5-7 days.

• OSELTAMIVIR 75 mg capsule
• Take Oseltamivir 75 mg (1 tablet) by mouth TWICE A DAY for 5 days after exposure.

• IVERMECTIN 12 mg compounded tablet
• Take Ivermectin 0.6 mg/kg body weight (0.27 mg/lb body weight) by mouth DAILY for 5-7 days (see table below).
